JOIN ME IN SUPPORTING
Thanks for visiting my page!
I’ll be blunt . . . I want to invite you to join me in an important mission.
In 2020, I co-founded CANCER FUND. I was motivated by my own experiences with cancer through my family and friends, and to help breakthrough research ideas reach patients and save lives. And what better way to endure a pandemic than creating a venture capital fund, right?
CANCER FUND is a venture capital firm where you can INVEST in early-stage companies moving breakthrough cancer research from the lab to patients. It’s an opportunity to support to an important cause – who hasn’t been touched by cancer? – in a unique way that can provide a return on your commitment.
I’ll tell you more about why I’m committed to this below . . .
but here are three ways you can get involved with CANCER FUND to make a difference.

Why me? Why This? Why Now?
I’ve been touched by cancer. You probably have been, too
Too many of us are still affected by cancer. My first touch was when my father passed away quickly from lung cancer when I was a junior in college. I’ll never forget driving from my college in Pullman, WA to Spokane to see him in the hospital and just knowing it was the last time I would see him alive. But my father wasn’t alone – my grandmother had cervical cancer, friends have had (and in some cases died) of other cancers. It’s a crappy disease and I’ve realized that as you get older (like me) it’s inevitable: Cancer becomes a part of life.
In 2001, I was honored to join a small team of committed people working to do something about that by developing and launching Athena bottled water, with 100% of profits benefiting research into women’s cancers. After years of marketing everything from potato chips to beer to music, it was rewarding to feel like I was doing something really meaningful.
Now it’s time for an even bigger mission.
Many of us give to support cancer research, and that’s great. But, research is just the first step. After great ideas are developed in the lab, it still takes a lot of resources (money) for them to reach patients.
We’ve identified over 450 startup companies working on the hard task of getting cancer innovations to patients. And those 450 are just the start.
Those companies are seeking over $2 Billion to bring their innovations to patients. Without it, their innovations stay in the lab and don’t save lives. And the journey from lab to patient doesn’t benefit from the support we provide to cancer research. It takes more.
I’m certainly unable to write a check for $2 Billion, but there’s power in numbers. So we’re doing something about that. CANCER FUND was created to give people like you and me the opportunity to invest financially in early stage companies moving ideas BEYOND RESEARCH. To bring breakthroughs to patients, where they can make a difference.
Do something more than give. INVEST.
The beauty of CANCER FUND is that it isn’t a charity. it’s an investment company where you can support cancer in a new, meaningful way and have the opportunity to earn a real return on your support dollars. Because INVEST, not DONATE. Get it?
So find a way to join me. Together we can do AMAZING things to offer a better future for cancer patients.
