We asked which type of cancer warranted a deeper dive.
You responded with Breast Cancer. And we listened.
For women, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer, other than skin melanoma. The odds of developing breast cancer at some point in a woman’s life is 1 in 8. There are now more than 3.8M female breast cancer survivors in the US.
For men, breast cancer is rarer but has a much higher mortality rate than in women. And too often, men see breast cancer as a women’s cancer and fail to self-screen leading to poor outcomes. I hope you’ll join us for our Save 2nd Base series. The pink AND blue in our graphic is an acknowledgment that breast cancer has no gender bounds.
