March Biosciences is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing MB-105, a first-in-class CD5-targeted CAR T-cell therapy for patients with relapsed or refractory CD5-positive T-cell lymphoma. These patients have limited options after failing first line standard of care therapy, and face a poor prognosis with 3-year survival rates ranging from 10–20%, depending on disease subtype. MB-105 uses a proprietary CAR construct to selectively eliminate malignant CD5-positive cells while preserving key healthy T-cell populations. In a Phase 1 clinical trial, administration of MB-105 led to multiple long term and durable complete responses and showed a favorable safety profile with limited CAR-associated toxicities. Based on these encouraging results, March initiated a multi-center Phase 2 trial in early 2025, which has begun dosing patients and aims to enroll approximately 46 patients across the United States.

WHY WE INVESTED
We invested in March Biosciences due to its potential to address a critical unmet need in the treatment of T-cell lymphomas. Our due diligence team, with deep expertise in CAR T-cell therapies, was particularly encouraged by the company’s novel approach to targeting malignant cells while limiting impact on healthy T-cells. Early clinical data reinforced confidence in the therapy’s safety and potential effectiveness.
In addition, the company’s recent funding round, which attracted strong interest from leading institutional investors, offered our community a rare opportunity to participate in a highly competitive raise.
